Zeta Charter School is a new six-story, 67,000-square-foot educational facility under construction at 4263 Third Avenue in the Bronx. The ground-up school includes a full cellar level and a double-height space designed to accommodate the school gym. Wesbuilt is serving as construction manager, working with Zeta Charter Schools and Michael Graves Architecture & Design. 

H&L Ironworks is completing approximately 200 tons of structural steel and miscellaneous metals for the new building. The structural package includes the steel framing for the six-story school and its double-height gym space.

The miscellaneous metals package includes canopies, stair guardrails, access ladders and an architectural louver panel system at the roof. Together, the structural and miscellaneous scopes extend H&L’s work from the primary building frame through functional and architectural steel elements incorporated throughout the new school.
